Possible: If there is an area of the heart muscle that is not moving as well as the rest, it is suggestive of ischemia although not diagnostic. Stress echocardiogram is a valuable tool in detecting ischemia.

Possibly: Stress tests can incorporate echo imaging, and this will improve the diagnostic capability of the test. Also, if one of the walls of the heart is visibly not moving normally on a routine echo, this would suggest ischemic heart disease.
