Probably: If the coin is a nickle or smaller then it should pass without problem. If a quarter it could get stuck. If she can drink water and eat solid food without choking, has no abdominal pain and is not vomiting or having bleeding or diarrhea, then you can watch and wait. If she has any of those symptoms then have her seen.

Call pediatrician: The usual teaching is if was swallowed and did not get stuck, it will eventually pass. You should your doctor know in case there is any chance of obstruction of bowel.
