I had mucus in my stool and blood called my dr she said it was from my diet it's getting better but how do i stop mucus and can what can i eat?

Go to see a GI Dr: Many disease could has this picture like any colitis.Amebiasis or other infeccion.Stool examination is very important.

Need work-up for ibd: You need a work-up for inflamatory bowel disease ie. Chrons or ulceratve colitis. You need a ct of your abdomen with oral contrast.

You need testing: This could be colitis, polyps, cancer, hemorrhoids. Do not risk it getting better. See a doctor for colonoscopy, cultures etc.
