Very common: Metabolic syndrome is defined by having a certain number of medical signs: hypertension, increased waist (>35" for females, >40" for males) blood sugar>110. Triglycerides >150, low HDL <35 three out of the five, and you have it. One in 4 people have this, so you're not alone. Restrict sugars, get enough exercise, lose weight, and don't smoke.
