Good choices: 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. 3-5 ounces of lean meat, chicken or fish as protein, or eggs, or 1 cup of milk. Complex carbohydrates in the form of whole grains, should make up 1/4 of your plate servings. 1/2 your plate should be fresh fruits and or vegetables. And 1/4 of your plate should be protein. Beans and legumes are also healthy carbohydrates. Avoid too much fat, fried foods.

See below: You do not have to diet to lose weight. You have to learn to eat correctly for you. I suggest lowering your carbohydrate intake, increasing your water, stopping soda, and increasing your protein. Exercise should be cardiovascular. Please check with your doctor before beginning any dietary program. I hope this helps! our webpage newsletter will give you some helpful hints. www.weighstation.net.

See below: I personally i think the weighstation diet plan is the best. But i'm biased because i operated it. The best thing about our plan is that we teach people to keep the weight off for life. No shakes, no bars, no package meals. You learn to eat out of the grocery store... For some help see www.Weighstation.Net... Thanks for the question.

Whole foods: Simple sugars and processed carbs should be avoided or limited. This includes any flour product. The fine grind makes absorption quick, and spikes your blood sugar which increases Insulin and promotes weight gain. Good fats such as olive oil and coconut oil are fine in sensible amounts. Eat a rainbow of organic vegetables and just enough protein.

Water: There's mounting evidence that diet drinks may mess with your body's ability to tell real sweet from fake sweet, causing Insulin to rise, blood sugar to drop, then appetite to increase. Water and breast milk are the only 2 things we were originally designed to drink.
