It's possible but: Not common symptoms of hemorrhoidal problem which is seldom infected. Your mom could have viral infection, ear /upper respiratory infection more than anything else. But then again, this is just a guess. Let her see her dr for an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment. God bless u both!
