Pay attention: Sometimes blood in stool is simple: you may have constipation and strained too much. Or maybe an internal hemorrhoid. Other times it's a big deal: colon polyp, inflammatory bowel disease (chron's or ulcerative colitis.) do bring it up with your doctor who can help you sort this out. Ask your family if there is cancer or bowel disease b/c people don't talk about it a lot. Then tell your doc.
