Get checked now!: Blood in the stool can be a serious problem, or it can be something minor, like hemorrhoids. You won't know until you get seen and evaluated. Please go to an emergency department now. If you are dizzy when you stand up or at any time, have chest pain, or shortness of breath call an ambulance or rescue squad to take you there. You need to find out what is bleeding, and why, and get it stopped!
