I was put on cipro/flagyl for a very mild case of diverticulitis. they were horrible to take. so i was prescribed augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) 875. i have anxiety about taking this medication, because of the other two. ?

The problem antibiotic is the flagyl. Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) typically does not have these side effects and should have close to the same coverage.

Depending on what: Depending on what bothered you about these medications, likely no. Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is in an entirely different class of medications from the other two.
