Taking flagyl and cipro (ciprofloxacin) for diverticulitis. should i take probiotics at same time? can i eat nuts and seeds now or after symptoms (pain) goes away?

Probiotics are safe.: Probiotics will not affect your antibiotic treatment for diverticulitis and are safe to take. I would avoid eating anything with seeds or nuts as these may get stuck in a diverticulum and cause a flare of diverticulitis. Risk of recurrence is drastically reduced by removing the diseased part of the colon.
