It is always: Preferable to avoid medication during pregnancy particularly in the first trimester. If the sleep problem is so bad , bandryl for brief period may be one of relatively safe medicine as far as the fetus is concerned . The side effects of dry mouth , drowsiness and other symptoms should be taken in to consideration

Yes: Discuss it with your doctor, but i would recommend either trazodone or melatonin or temazepam. Best wishes for a happy and healthy baby.
