My gyno gave me fluconazole for a yeast infection before getting results back from swabs he took?

OK: Sometimes, a gynecologist has seen yeast infections so often, they can diagnose them with a visual inspection and may rx a med without actually doing the official swab/analysis. Ask your gyn if you are concerned, but getting a rx for a yeast infection without a definitive test for it is not uncommon.
