Depends: General surgeons, plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists (ent), dermatologists, and family physicians all remove lipomas. Well trained surgeons & family physicians can and do remove these with excellent cosmetic result. Is not uncommon for any of these physicians to have trainees remove a lipoma under supervision. This is generally not a complex procedure requiring ultra-specialist.
