Very Soon: After uncomplicated laparoscopic appendectomy patients will be discharged imeeditatly after return of bowel function ( peristalasis ) will be home in 24 hrs. With in 2 to 3 days will be able to walk and move around, minimum pain will be driving in 8 to 9 days., end of 3rd wk will be able to resume full function.Complicated cases abscess, peritonitis and bowel obstruction longer recovery time.

1 to 2 weeks: If it is routine (not ruptured and no complications) usually 1 or 2 days in the hospital. Most people can return to desk jobs in a week, to most activities in 2 weeks. Contact sports or very heavy lifting may require three weeks.
