Very Unlikely: Unless the person you are shaking hands with has either fresh bodily fluids or fresh blood on them, the chance of transmitting HIV by such casual contact is remote. However, if you have HIV and have an open bleeding wound on your hand, the reverse scenario may be more of an issue, where it is you that should be concerned about transmitting HIV to others, if they have wounds on their hands as well.
