Yes.: Yes, dehydration can occur very quickly. Depending on the cause for vomiting, your son could get very sick. Take him to an emergency department where they will have the ability to give him IV fluids - sounds like he'll need it. Take note of # of wet diapers, amount of fluids he's had over last couple of days, etc. Good luck.
