A doctor has provided 1 answer

TOO much D is RISKY: 50, 000 units of vitamin d per day is too much! most experts recommend 1000--5000u per day (goal d level~50) hypervitaminosis d causes symptoms: constipation, decreased appetite (anorexia), vomiting, dehydration, fatigue, irritability and muscle weakness .An excess of vitamin d causes abnormally high levels of calcium in the blood. This can severely damage the kidneys and bones over time.
