What is paliative chemo?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Extend/relieve: Mainly when chemotherapy is being recommended; it is for two purposes; either called curative when the goal is to achieve cure and then palliative; when the goal is mainly to improve quality of life by controlling the cancer in turn which is causing symptoms and hopefully to increase the period of time a person can live comfortably;.
