My son is 23 & has never had chickenpox however my current roommate has shingles and i am concerned if he can get sick from her?

Possible issue: Shingles patients are not as contagious as those with chickenpox. The debris from the spots can spread the germs but not the saliva or sneezes as would be for cpx. Simple avoidance of the wound and hygienic practices should avoid spread. If your kids have had the vaccine or the wild cpx they are immune.
