Need more info: I'd like to know how long the lesions have been on your shins. I'd prefer to see a picture and take a history. One possibility is a panniculitis or maybe even erythema nodosum, which may be associated with a streptococcal pharyngitis. It may be idiopathic, though. In less developed parts of the world, sometimes this skin finding can be associated with primary tuberculosis.
