No: A pulled muscle or perhaps costochondritis can not cause you to have a heart attack. But if you have underlying heart disease, i suggest you have an evaluation from a cardiologist and perhaps have a stress test.

Yes: A "large" collapsed lung, especially one where the leaked air is pushing on the lung and heart (tension pneumothorax), is an emergency regardless of any family history of heart problems. A heart attack occurs when heart muscle can't get enough oxygen, such as when blood flow to the heart is blocked or when the blood oxygen is way too low. A big pneumothorax can block both blood flow and air flow.

Tell me more: How is he now? It could at least be some type of reaction to the stress of the argument. If he recovered quickly without any further problem then maybe it was. But either way, you should cut the poor guy some slack. Well that's my opinion anyway.

Possibly but...: Severe sleep apnea typically leads to raised pressure in the pulmonary artery which in turn causes increase in pressure in the right ventricle. When talking about ejection fraction, it is usually referred to the left ventricle that is responsible for blood distribution. Right heart failure may lead to left heart (ventricle) failure. Also, sa may contribute to hypertension that may cause ef decline.
