I am sched for spinal surgery on 9/9 for the lower back. my pain mgt dr gave me a prescr for predisone. it eliminated the pain. should i have surgery?

Possibly: Improvement of symptoms with medications, physical therapy or other so-called conservative approaches, is worth discussing with your surgeon and pain physician. It may make sense to delay surgery to see if the Prednisone causes long term relief. In some patients, this does occur.
