Had galbladder surgery 2 weeks ago. need to take steroids predisone for asthma. its it safe when healing from surgery. ?

Mgt: You are correct that the use of steroids may delay wound healing. At a lower dose, this is less likely to happen. Keep a close watch on the wound, and i would suggest the use of a combined inhaler, Singulair, combined with a rescue inhaler, if this can keep your Asthma under control. If not, the lowest oral dose of Prednisone is advisable.
