Ankle edema: In 72 years of age , first you have to know the causes of the ankle puffiness and then the treatment. The causes could be your heart, thyroid, poor circulation or kidney problem. So please see your doctor who will have good medical history, your salt use, and thorough physical examination. You also need diagnostic tests. Thanks.
