How long after hydrocele repair can you have sex?

Varies : Sex after a hydrocele can be resumed after the swelling and pain subside which could be 2-4 weeks.

Ask your surgeon: This is something your surgeon should have told you and please call his/her office to determine postoperative activities that are permissible. Most surgeons would say at least 2 - 4 weeks depending upon the size of the hydroceles, how long they have been present etc...

Until...: There has been no magic timing to restrict sex after hydrocelectomy, but let common sense rule what we can do and need. So, as long as you can cope with postoperative pain and swelling, you can have sex whenever you like, but common sense guides most reasonable men not to have sex for at least 1-2 weeks after surgery there.
