Clogged follicles: The ear has follicles just like skin on the face and other parts of the body. Pimples are caused by bacteria, oil, and clogged pores. It is relatively common for follicles on the ear to become plugged and develop into pimples. It is only worrisome if the "pimple" is a sore that does not heal and go away after a couple of weeks.
