Tape worm: Soft stool and a lot of gas are not specific for tape worm infestation, although, they can be present in such case, too. White particles of a rice grain size without movement -- hard to tell. I've never seen in the stool, but collect and ask your doc to order ova and parasite test. The lab will tell you.

Stool culture: Ask your primary care doctor for stool. Culture with ova and parasites. You doctor will have a kit you pick up and with each stool you can collect. The lab will culture your stool and look for eggs of the worm. Your doctor can treat you based on those results. Be well.
