H pylori: Has been associated with gastritis and ulcers and those have been related with an increased incidence of cancer in the stomach. It is a pretty common infection and is treated when it is symptomatic. Many other factors cause stomach cancer! such as smoking and alcohol abuse.

Pylori can cure the lymphoma of the stomach. However, the link between stomach adenocarcinoma and h. Pylori is not clear. Your dad can have curative treatment for his h. Pylori. Please have him see his doctor.
