H pylori: Has been associated with gastritis and ulcers and those have been related with an increased incidence of cancer in the stomach. It is a pretty common infection and is treated when it is symptomatic. Many other factors cause stomach cancer! such as smoking and alcohol abuse.

H. Pylori and cancer: H. Pylori is a bacterium that can live in the stomach and can cause ulcers. It commonly is curable with antibiotics. There is a link between stomach lymphoma. Treatment of h. Pylori can cure the lymphoma of the stomach. However, the link between stomach adenocarcinoma and h. Pylori is not clear. Your dad can have curative treatment for his h. Pylori. Please have him see his doctor.
