Don't assume: Stress likely affecting you but these symptoms could indicate something more serious such as an ulcer. Given your age >40 you should see your physician. An upper endoscopy/egd may be warranted. Certainly a history, exam and blood tests are warranted. A trial of acid blocker for 10-14 days is worthwhile but don't avoid an evaluation especially if symptoms persist, worsen or associated symptoms.
