I had a nissen procedure 2.5 years ago and my pre-surgical symptoms have returned. i would like to have a different surgeon. comments?

2nd opinion: You didn't describe pre-surgical symptoms but presumably you were/are suffering from gerd not amenable to max dose ppi (proton pump inhibitors) & h2 blockers & antacids as well as lifestyle modification. However, you also mentioned barrett's esophagus pre-op but "last scope showed healthy tissue" but no mention of when. Bottom line, talk to your GI doc & get his/her thoughts. 2nd opinion is good.

Your choice: Nissen plication some time will need revision , ( or little tightening ) surgeon is your choice, speak to your doctor , for a different referral , or look for one who performs regularly in your area., .
