I had a fundoplication about 15 years ago and just recently developed symptoms of vagus nerve damage. could the surgery be the reason this long after?

Doubt it: I doubt it, but i wonder what symptoms you are having that caused you or your doc to think that those are related to the vagus nerve. I am not sure i've heard there are symptoms that a vagus injury can be diagnosed on.
