Dunno but ...: no one is perfect. One way to document it physiologically is to put a pH probe down your esophagus and stop it above entry into your stomach. If it is sending back that it is reading an "acid" environment then that's telling you that the surgery unfortunately was not successful. On the other hand, if it is not reading an acid state then stomach contents is not getting up there!

Need time: One week is not enough time to determine if the procedure was a success or not. Follow your surgeon's advice, and give it time.
