Has now been 5 days since severe pain began in my back/kidney area. can this be sore muscles from sleeping wrong it is it more likely to be infection?

See a doc: More likely than not, this is an arthritic situation like a facet syndrome. You need to explore some of your other suspicions with your doc. Simple analgesics such as ibu and or tylenol (acetaminophen) may be appropriate. Check with your doctor after he checks you out.

5 days' severe pain?: You've been enduring severe pain for 5 whole days? Why not see a physician and have this checked out? You're correct that it could be a kidney infection. Are you having fevers? Sore muscles from sleeping wrong should not continue unabated for that long, but a kidney infection could. Please contact your doctor today, or go to an er.
