Stones?: Kidney infections or pyelonephritis usually required prolong the anabiotic therapy such as in 2 to 3 weeks. Sometimes a kidney stone can mimic a kidney infection or be the cause of it. A renal to sound or x-ray such as a CT scan may be necessary along with urine test if indicated
