A member asked:

2 yo gets constipated. today half was pebbles, half not. but a small brown mucous blob. found tiny piece glass in stool yesterday. related? no blood.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stools: These are often a reflection of dietary intake, but can represent inflammatory changes in the colon. This sounds like a brief normal variation but if there is persistent mucous in the stool or a suggestion of blood you should have the baby seen by the pediatrician. Try using yogurt (unpasteurized). Good luck.
