Sometimes normal: Mucous in your stool is not an unusual thing. We all have mucous from our nose and throats that ends up going through our digestive system and coming out through the stool. If it is bloody or persistent, see your doctor. For constipation, the best thing is to drink plenty of fluids, eat high fiber foods, and take a fiber supplement if needed (miralax (polyethylene glycol) may help). Call doctor if not better.
