Abd pain: Diverticulosis without diverticulitis will not cause any pain normally. An ulcer definitely can, ranging from very mild to very severe. I would expect other symptoms in a case of ulcer such as nausea/vomiting, however, it is not universal. Watch your pain. If better - don't worry. If no better or actually getting worse, see doc.

Probably neither.: Ulcers would not cause pains that low down in the abdomen, and diverticulosis shouldn't cause any pain. Diverticulitis, the infection, can cause pain but this should also be accompanied by diarrhea, chills and sweats with fever.

More info?: Is it sharp or achy? Is it every time or only sometimes? What type? How long does it last? Anything make it better? Anything make it worse? Does food affect the pain? Have you had any surgery ? How long has it been there? Have you tried any medications? Did they work? Did you injure yourself? Pulled muscle etc? Has anyone done any studies? Need a bit more info? Any nausea? Fevers?
