Chronic infection, drainage, from a stage 3 ulcer and belly button. derm dx with candidia. now belly button is draining pus& blood. thinking anaerobic. aerobic c&s/gram stain clean minus rare wbc. doryx complete. what is abx of choice/anaerobes?

What's the cause?: This doesn't happen unless there is an underlying problem -- do you know what this is? An infection in an embryonic remnant, which some folks still have here, may be remarkably difficult to treat -- has imaging with contrast been done? There's no guessing without a full examination of your microbiology results what antibiotic to use, and surgery may be your best hope. Good luck.
