Ask second opinion: You and every patient is entitled to second opinion. There are many ways of approaching a problem, some better than others. In todays medical community, a physician should be willing to have patient get second opinion . The second opinion may agree with the first one.

Ask your med/doctor: First try to address your concerns with the surgeon treating you and if still not satisfied, you can ask your primary care doctor for the recommendation of another board certified surgeon in the speciality of the condition, as he has experience with the surgeons in your location. Other sources are recommendations from friends or relatives, internet, county medical society.
