Feed only on waking: You appear to have taught your baby to need feeding or holding to settle into sleep. This will only stop if you reverse the process. If they are only fed while waking up, and learn to settle alone in a crib to sleep, they can do so in the night alone. Start by feeding only water at night, to shift feeds to daytime, make the crib inviting, read or soothe from a few feet away as they settle.
