Is cromolyn sodium drops a good and safe otc med for allergic itchy eyes? recommendations for any other drops to relieve itching

Fair to good: Many will do well just using artificial tears to wash out the pollen or other irritants. Zadator is a 2x daily otc product that has helped some.

Yes: Yes, they are good drops. They may take a month to stabilize your mast cells. Over the counter allergy tablets can help. Commonly, steroid eye drops like Prednisolone acetate 1% are used for a week or two to get bad allergies under control. Steroids are not used in the long term situation. There are many other drops as well. Plain rinsing with tap water can rinse out the allergens, helps a lot.
