What is the standard treatment for recurrent vulvar folliculitus? infection has needed two rounds of keflex which cleared it up but comes back.

Weight loss??: Vulvar folliculitis is usually an inflammation of sebacious cysts (that form at the base of a hair follicle). If the gland is blocked, oil collects to form the cyst. If bacteria from the skin invade, then you have folliculitis. Some people are genetically predisposed, but lots of gals who are overweight have too much skin surface that rubs against other skin surfaces, blocking the gland.
