Got a staph infection in toe from pedicure in march/april of 2021. cleared it with keflex. i have seen a podiatrist on and off for the last 1-2 years and my toenail is still not grown back fully. there is a gap btwn cuticle and nail. is this normal?

It is best to discuss with your podiatrist that has a better picture of what happened. Scar formation may change things to new normal. The important thing is that the infection cleared and you now know to be more cautious or take precaution about where and how your pedicure is done. Toe nails grow slower the finger nails.
