Hernia repair: Most people with hernia repair requiring mesh will have occasional to chronic scar tissue induced pain. However, your family doc should examine the area and determine its cause for you and if necessary they will order an appropriate imaging test; certainly ct scanning could be used.

CT scan might: Show things other than mesh that might be causing discomfort, but it will probably not show the mesh in any great detail. You might have a recurrent hernia or an entrapped nerve, so see a surgeon for recommendation on diagnosis and treatment of your condition.
