A member asked:

Neuro said my lhermitte's was from a slight bulge and a lack of csf in that area. can heat make symptoms worse? or is that only with ms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Explanation: If you have little room to spare over cervical spine, flexion/extension motions may contact spinal cord and trigger irritation of posterior columns, causing a neuronal short-circuiting called a lhermitte's. Let's assume that you possess some spinal stenosis. If you do have nerve insulation loss, higher temps can leach out potassium and make dysfnctn symptoms worse regardless of cause.
