For sure: The oligoclonal band merely reflects spinal fluid immune globulin synthesis, and can be present with many immune or infectious disorders such as subacute sclerosing pan encephalitis, Lyme disease, neurosarcoidosis, neurosyphilis, and HIV, and although may be found in up to 97% of all MS patients, is still a nonspecific marker.
