A member asked:

Pregnant. my endocrinologist adjusted the dosage of my med and wants to check my tsh & t4 at 16 weeks, then again at 30 weeks gestation. that's 3 and 1/2 months apart! shouldn't it be every 8 weeks?

I personally: Would check more often, as thyroid levels are subject to change during pregnancy. If you need to change your dose of brand name T4 replacement, it takes 6 weeks to reequilibrate before you can recheck the level. With such limited testing, you wouldn't be able to do anything even if your needs changed.

Depends : On how well adjusted and stable they are. Sounds fine if they are.
