Appendix pains more: Appendicitis pain should increase over 24-48 hours if that is the source of pain. Appendicitis occurs when blockage of the appendiceal lumen occurs. As the mucus and IgA are secreted from the appendix is blocked you feel the pain. If the blockage remains the pain worsens. Stool usually blocks it. See your doctor and they will help you. We dedicated our lives to help so call. Be well.

Rare: It is very uncommon but there are case reports of "chronic appendicitis." typically when the appendix is blocked it stays blocked and causes lots of problem. If it wr to unblock, body could potentially heal that and pain would go away. Again, possible but rare.

Some doctors believe: That chronic or relapsing appendicitis exists in a small percentage of patients, but it is almost always an acute problem. If you have appendicitis-like pain that comes and goes, then it could be caused by other conditions such as crohn's ileitis, meckel's diverticulitis, ovarian cyst, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, or even cancer, so have your doctor check it out.
