A member asked:

When you suspect that you have an appendicitis, do the pain continues to hurt? or theres an interval-meaning its hurting within a minute then goes out

Both...: Appendicitis usually begins with a prodromal period that doesn't feel too different than a normal (cramping/episodic pain)stomach ache. However, the pain then "localizes" to the right-lower abdomen, becomes constant, progressively worsening, and often associated with fever. If you have these symptoms, please seek out urgent medical attention.

Progressivcontinuous: Appendicitis typically is constant adominal pain that starts near the belly button and eventually settles in the right lower abdomen. It usually get worse over the course of 24-36 hours, and is associated with poor appetite. However, appendicitis is also known as the great mimicker - it can be difficult to diagnose, particularly in the very young and the very old.
