Yes, Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim): Is a sulfa antibiotic which is effective against most staph infections. Assuming you are not allergic to sulfa drugs, it is safe. But the real problem is the ingrown toenail that caused the infection, so the portion of the toenail will need to be removed, for treatment and for prevention of recurrence of infection.

Abx for ingrown nail: Yes, Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) (= trimetrhoprim-sulfamethoxazole) is an antibiotic, and can be taken for ingrown toenail infections. Usually, you would need to see a foot specialist/ podiatrist for treatment of the ingrown nail, but taking the antibiotic while waiting for an appointment makes a lot of sense.
